ProjectZone.Info

ProjectZone.Info is a web-based enterprise collaboration application with a public interface powered by Microsoft™ ASP.NET2.0 technology. The application is being developed by GM Consult Pty Ltd, a Registered Member of the Microsoft™ Partner Program.

As first beta test customer of the application, the Australian Rail Track Corporation’s project pages at www.artc.gmconsult.com.au were migrated to www.ProjectZone.Info on 3 September 2006. The old pages will be maintained for 30 days, but users are automatically redirected to www.ProjectZone.Info/artc. User credentials have been transferred to the new site and users should update their bookmarks with the new link. The content and navigation structure of the old website have been retained for the time being, but a new membership and roles provider has been implemented. The short term benefits will be better management of security and tailored visibility of information depending on user role (only publicly available information are now displayed to anonymous users). In the long term, the navigation structure will be adjusted to provide an improved user interface.

To get the maximum benefit from the site’s features, users should ensure that their browsers will accept “cookies” and “popup” dialogs from www.ProjectZone.Info. The site has been optimised for Microsoft™ Internet Explorer™ 6.0 on Windows XP™ and, while care has been taken to maximise compatibility with earlier versions of Internet Explorer™ as well as with browsers such as Firefox™ and Netscape™, the pages may not always display correctly on these browsers or on computers with operating systems other than Microsoft™ Windows XP™.
